At General Shale, a leading manufacturer of brick and masonry materials, we are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our production facility in Spring City, TN.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing departmental operations within a highly automated manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with production and quality goals, safety policies, and company rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and motivating employees to achieve production and quality goals while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Coordinating maintenance repair work and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
- Utilizing problem-solving and critical thinking techniques to improve process and safety issues.
- Organizing production schedules to optimize equipment utilization and personnel deployment.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy through periodic physical counts and adjustments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, computer literacy, and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and robotics is an asset.
