What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION ENGINEER position at General Shale?
Responsibilities will include:
- Steel, concrete, and material handling systems design.
- Providing project management support to engineers, subcontractors, and General Shale’s production personnel.
- Deliver reliable construction cost estimates.
- Conducting job-site inspections and problem analysis
- Preparing various technical analyses.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field, from an accredited school of engineering.
- Passed FE (Fundamental of Engineering) exam, registered EIT (Engineer in Training), and able to obtain PE licensure within 1-2 years of hire or Registered PE.
- Demonstrated oral and written presentation skills.
- Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office suite
- Project management experience.
- Willingness to travel – up to 40%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- General knowledge of graphic design software (i.e. AutoCAD, etc.).
- Understanding and experience with structural design software.
- Course work in masonry, building design, concrete, and structural steel.
- 2-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
- PE is preferred
