Position Summary: The Delivery driver position is primarily accountable for the safe and efficient transport of GSM fabricated materials, tools and equipment to and from our job sites, including transport requests from our internal and external customers. As needed, we request support with warehouse duties.
Essential Responsibilities & Measurements:
- Daily Loading and unloading, local transport of fabricated sheet metal products and associated materials, tools and equipment. Meeting time sensitive delivery requirements.
- Perform and record daily truck inspections and vehicle logs and report out of concerns/recommendations for maintenance and/or repair same day.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed in the following areas: shipping/receiving, yard storage, asset management of equipment/tools and general shop duties & clean up.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a Delivery driver role and working in a warehouse environment. Experience with loading and securing flatbeds is preferred. Ability to drive a pick up and trailer also preferred.
- Ability to load/unload items up to 25lbs and occasionally lift items 50-75 lbs.
- Customer service and team oriented.
- Basic knowledge of email and logging into computer systems, including smart phone usage.
- Good verbal and written communication and active listening skills.
