General Tool is a privately-owned diamond tool manufacturing company headquartered in Irvine, California. By making a strong commitment to innovation, manufacturing and service, General Tool sets a high standard for the OEM diamond tool industry. General Tool manufactures diamond blades and core bits primarily for the construction, stone and mining industries. Products from General Tool cut and grind a variety of surfaces, including brick, mortar, concrete, granite, engineered stone, tile and glass.
Job position Summary:
As General Tool is constantly evolving, expanding, and growing, and due to the demands of our overall customer base, we have launched a division under General Tool named Tile & Stone Technologies. Due to the rapid expansion and well received interest of specific products, we are in need of a Customer Service Support Coordinator to fulfill a wide range of duties to support our customer base. This position requires being an advocate for the customer by providing support services for all new and existing clients. As an advocate and impressionable representative utilizing proven initiative, good independent judgement, as well as receiving and responding to customers’ needs, emails, and/or phone calls, and having that innate leadership quality and proven problem-solving abilities are all characteristics that we are seeking and looking for in a long-term career-oriented candidate. Responsibilities & Duties:
- Accepts new knowledge and tactics to help answer customers’ concerns and/or questions.
- The capability to handle medium-to-large amounts of accounts.
- Address and resolve any customer situations promptly.
- Act as a liaison with the Marketing Department to promote products, brand awareness and designs
- Assist with inventory management, warehouse, and shipping activities as it applies with TST products
- Ability to perform a full range of customer support duties independently and /or in a team environment
- Accurately operate, record, and submit customers’ orders through SAP.
- Managing and communicating packaging and design requirements with the Marketing Department.
- Effectively responding to customers in a timely manner via email and phone calls.
- Assigned additional duties as necessary.
- Minimum of 1- 2 years of relevant work experience (required).
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English to understand and comprehend our customer base
- Must be able to construct well written, clear, concise, professional emails.
- Familiar with SAP including Microsoft Office (required).
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Extremely detail-oriented, positive, and effective proven problem solver.
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must know basic mathematics, metrics and measures.
- Be an effective, enthusiastic, communicator.
- Must be energetic, punctual, professional, and have a drive to push the envelope every day.
- Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 20lbs to carry products to customers
- Ability to work and sustain attention with distractions and/or interruptions.
- Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients.
- Ability to deal with people under adverse circumstances.
