What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Coach position at Generation Ready?

Our best-in-class team of consultants have a breadth of knowledge and experience in various key content areas and are consistently driving thoroughly researched and rigorous instructional practices. Generation Ready is currently seeking coaches with expertise in literacy, math, STEM, and special education, across K-12, to join our dynamic and growing team as we continue to provide critical support to schools in the NYC metropolitan area.
Coaches are expected to work onsite in the following capacities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including department of education, district, and school levels, to develop a customized professional learning plan based on the needs of each underlying classroom
- Engage in side-by-side coaching, including conducting lesson modeling, to build capacity in excellent standards-based instruction
- Lead teachers in reflective practices, data analysis, and examination of student work to improve pedagogy and develop dynamic protocols
- Support school leaders in assessing and adapting frameworks and communication to foster a collaborative environment focused on student success
- Foster thoughtful relationships with partners to ensure seamless communication and real-time feedback cycles to ensure all needs are being met
Ideal candidates will have:
- A minimum of 10 years education experience, ideally including some combination of teaching, school leadership, coaching and/or educational program development
- A thorough understanding of cross-content trends, shifts, standards, and methodologies
- Experience working in urban schools and with diverse student populations
- Expertise in various types of high-quality instructional materials
- A demonstrated ability to engage with stakeholders and develop relationships
- Willingness to participate in ongoing personal, professional learning
- A highly organized and process driven focus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
