A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RADIOLOGY TECH ASSISTANT
As a Radiology Tech Assistant, you will work directly with patients and our chiropractors to perform and assist with diagnostic imaging, ensuring that patients feel comfortable, valued, and cared for.
Your priority is to assist the doctor with taking x-rays, as well as communicating the techniques and benefits of key therapies our patients do before and after adjustments. This position includes taking and marking x-rays, uploading them to patient files, leading patients as they learn their corrective exercises, and encouraging and leading patients to engage in the five essentials.
Always attentive to detail, you manage each case with skill. Highly organized, you manage our patients’ digital x-ray files on our software. Occasionally, you help with our weekend marketing events. You love working with our patients and take pride in the part you play in the success of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and prepare patients for X-ray exams, ensuring proper positioning and comfort.
- Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures for patient care population.
- Operates modality specific and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
- Review patient history and share observations with Dr. Eric, including marking X-rays for the Doctor.
- Uses critical thinking principles in making decisions while following company’s policies.
- Apply shielding techniques and correct positioning to minimize radiation exposure during imaging.
- Help track inventory.
- Knowledgeable or willing to learn about radiology equipment and ensures its proper operations.
- Manage and schedule patients’ appointments as needed.
- Assist with administrative and registration tasks when not actively performing radiologic exams.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned as necessary. Ensure maintenance of Scope of Practice.
- Educate and inspire patients on the 5 Essentials of Health (chiropractic, mindset, exercise, nutrition, and toxins) to help them understand the value of a holistic approach to health.
- Work one-on-one with patients, encouraging them to stay engaged in their care plans and therapies.
- Support the team with outreach events, workshops, and occasional community presentations.
- Perform other duties as needed, including assisting in therapy areas and helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort using computers, EHR systems, and PACS (training provided)
- Radiology License NOT required — willing to train the right candidate
- Previous experience in chiropractic or radiology is a plus, but not required
- A genuine interest in health, wellness, and patient care
- A willingness to be coached, take constructive feedback, and implement growth strategies — candidates must be open to ongoing learning and professional development
- Ability to follow clinic procedures and radiology protocols

WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position following a dynamic weekly schedule:
Monday: 7:00am - 11:00am, 2:00pm - 7:00pm
Tuesday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 7:00am - 11:00am, 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Thursday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm
Friday: 7:00am - 10::30am
- Occasional evenings (Thursdays) for workshops.
- At least one 4-hour shift once per month for outreach events (weekends).
- At least 1 paid weekend per year for professional development and training in Florida.
