DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON), Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL

This is a Full Time Role with a Salary of $135k - $145k, Plus Potential $30,000 Performance Bonus, Plus full Benefit Package, including 401k w/match, Choice of Insurance Plans, Health Savings Account, Teledoc, Opportunity for Advancement, and Much More!

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):
- Manage the nursing department
- Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
- Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all times
- Direct involvement with interviewing and hiring potential employees
- Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
- Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
- Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
- Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
- Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator

Requirements
The Successful Director of Nursing (DON) Will Bring:
- Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
- Clinical and supervisory experience
- Previous hospital and/or skilled nursing experience
- Outstanding leadership and relationship building skills
- Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
