HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY AIDE – Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, Illinois
Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines, Illinois, Seeks a Full Time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide for the Day Shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Weekend Availability is a Must
Starting wage is $15/hour, Plus Full Benefits. Will Train.

Housekeeping Responsibilities:
- Clean, dust, wash and disinfect all fixtures, floors, doors, ceilings and walls as directed
- Scour and polish water fountains, sinks, mirrors, and glass panels in doors and partitions
- Clean ledges, shelves, vents, windows, window sills, etc.
- Replenish supply of soap and towels in appropriate receptacles
- Maintain organization of cleaning supplies, equipment
Laundry Responsibilities:
- Wash, dry, fold, iron, distribute or deliver linen or residents' clothing
- Sorts laundry by color, fabric, type, etc., pre-soak as appropriate
- Fold and stack dried items in proper order
- Iron items as necessary
- Keep laundry area neat, clean
- Store supplies properly
Requirements
Housekeeping/Laundry Aide:
- Housekeeping and laundry experience helpful, but will train
- Housekeeping/laundry experience in health care environment preferred
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English
- Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding of older adults
- Must be physically capable of performing routine duties
- Personable and professional with residents, families and staff
- Maintain confidentiality of all residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA standards
