COOK - Full-Time – Generations at Rock Island, IL - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Generations at Rock Island has an immediate opening for a Cook at its facility in Rock Island, IL. The position available is Part-Time alternating days each week: 5:00a - 1:00p Tuesday one week the Saturday, Sunday and Thursday the next week.

Responsibilities of the Cook:
- Prepare food in a timely manner in accordance with dietary requirements
- Follow standardized recipes in food preparation
- Inspect special dietary trays to assure they are correct
- Serve food on the tray line
- Assist in receiving and check in of deliveries of food and supplies
- Follow work/cleaning schedules
- Maintain clean, organized and safe kitchen
Requirements
Cook:
- Must be able to interpret Resident Diet Cards
- Must be deemed eligible to work in a healthcare setting by the State of Illinois - May require fingerprinting.
- Must be capable of following written and oral instructions concerning specific cooking methods and dietary requirements
- Must be familiar with seasonings, understand cooking times and follow sanitation requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Professional and personable demeanor; reliable and committed to coming to work on time and not calling off frequently
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
