Job knowledge: Use of cleaning equipment and supplies, including the maintenance of equipment; standard procedures for cleaning and maintenance, read, write, follow instructions, and communicate well with staff, residents and families.
Functions:
1. Care for tools and equipment.
2. Use supplies and material economically.
3. Is able to use common house-cleaning equipment.
4. Aware of standard policies and procedures in cleaning and maintenance.
5. Sweep and mop floors.
6. Wash, strip, wax, and buff floors.
7. Gather and dispose of refuse.
8. Polish and wash furniture.
9. Maintain toilets and supplies.
10. Assist in moving material, supplies, equipment, etc.
11. Assist in general maintenance of grounds and buildings.
12. Change filters in washers, dryers, stoves, and heating and air-conditioning units.
13. Grease, oil, and service lawn mower, washers, dryers, floor equipment, buggies, carts, etc.
14. Oil hinges and adjust doors, beds, and chairs.
15. Replace light bulbs, fuses, and circuit breakers.
16. Be sensitive to the needs of the residents
