Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage patient appointments using Axxess and other scheduling software.
- Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing appointments.
- Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding payments as needed.
- Maintain health information management practices to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Provide administrative support to medical staff by assisting with patient inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize scheduling efficiency and improve patient flow.
- Assist with the training of new staff on scheduling protocols and systems as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical scheduling or as a medical receptionist is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health information management principles and practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in using scheduling software, particularly Axxess, along with other relevant medical administrative tools.
