What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generac Generator Level One Service Technician position at Generator Supercenter?
Generator Supercenter of Charleston is looking to hire an individual that is familiar with mechanic work, for level 1 maintenance on Generac Generators. Experience with generators is a plus.
Generator Service Techs will drive a company vehicle to our customers’ homes and provide service and maintenance on home standby Generators. This is a great position for someone who has prior mechanical experience, enjoys working with customers locally, and wants to learn a trade or continue their mechanical knowledge. Technical training in Generac Generators may be provided to qualified candidates.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform field inspections of generators
- Determine generator condition by conducting inspections & level one diagnostic tests
- Complete tune-ups and/or the repairs identified during the diagnostic process
- Load test batteries, check, and repair charging systems
- Verify generator performance by conducting tests, adjusting controls & systems as needed
- Maintain records with an accurate documentation of service and repairs
- Keep company tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Changing air filters, oil changes, spark plugs etc.
- Generac certifications for air and liquid cooled generators is a plus!!
