Job Description:
Job Overview:

- Infant- 1 Month through 5 years
- School Age- 6 years through 12 years
- Adolescent/Teenager-13 years through 17 years
- Young Adult- 18 years through 34 years
- Middle Adult- 35 years through 50 years
- Mature Adult- 51 years through 69 years
- Geriatric Adult- 70 years
- Employee will work with patients/employees of all cultural and religious backgrounds.
- Employee performs within the prescribed limits of SEARHC Ethics and Compliance Program. Is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, or upward through the chain of command, the Compliance Officer or hospital hotline.

- Must provide radiographic examination within department and other areas of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Must exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection.
- Maintains patient records and files.
- Assumes responsibility for departmental quality assurance program.
- Pursues continuing education.
- Transfers patient to and from radiology.
- In the absence of a supervisor, can assume responsibility for the department.
- Rotates shifts as required.
- Performs ancillary duties as requested by supervisor.
- Follows policies and procedures as set up by SEARHC Administration.
- Assists in general hygiene of department and self.
- Should be able to work well in situations of stress.
- Must be willing and able to take call and report to work within 30 minutes.
- Must maintain competency in licensed modality.
- Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
- Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
- Competent in sterile technique.
- Competent in OR procedures and C-Arm operation.
- Alaska fluoroscopy certified or willing to obtain within 90 days.
- 19. Responsible for care of equipment in this area.
- 20. Responsible for record maintenance.
- 21. Assist with invasive procedures and knowledge of these procedures.
- 22. Active part in the preparation of procedure in this area.
- 23. Consult with referring physicians.
- 24. Able to perform venipuncture or willing to be trained within first 90 days.
- 25. Follow standard precautions procedure.
- 26. Alter routine protocols to provide quality care to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- 27. Change contrast levels per age group.
- 28. Set up and run automatic injector.
- 29. Familiar with contraindications of contract.
- 30. Competent in tele-radiology transmission.
- 31. Competent in sterile technique.
- 32. Actively assists in supply inventory and ordering.
- 33. Daily/Weekly QC
- 34. Will work in conjunction with Imaging Manager and Director, supports development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
- 35. Reviews, edits, corrects, and validates PACS to ensure accurate patient procedure image labeling.
- 36. Maintain organized and productive workflow within the clinical area.
- 37. Assign daily responsibilities for front line staff.
- 38. Respond to staff concerns promptly.
- 39. Works to identify and solve operational problems.
- 40. Oversee new staff orientation.
- 41. Serve as an expert resource for staff in clinical specialties as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- 42. Maintain best practices to ensure optimization of imaging protocols.
- Attends department/organizational meetings, in-services, and disaster drills.
- Willing to participate and serve on departmental, organizational, and community committees and teams.
- Qualifications:
- Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required
- Current ARRT in Radiography
- Current ARRT in Computed Tomography
- Able to perform all diagnostic exams as related to assigned modality.
- Tech I - ARRT or ARDMS in one modality (i.e., ARRT general radiography or ARDMS one category)
- Tech II - ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS /ARDMS categories (OB/GYN, Abd) certified in two modalities.
- Tech III - ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS certified in three modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or RDCS)
- Tech IV - ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS certified in four modalities modalities/ARDMS categories (RVT or RDCS)
