Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill and acutely ill patients, focusing on stabilization, recovery, and overall well-being. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patients and families receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in ICU/PCU settings, including monitoring, assessing, and treating critically ill or post-acute patients.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, while adhering to established protocols.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving
Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and implement life-saving measures as needed.
Identify and prioritize patient needs, ensuring a safe and effective care plan.
Collaboration And Communication
Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and execute individualized care plans.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and emotional support.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Documentation And Compliance
Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and nursing best practices.
Professional Development
Stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care and progressive care nursing.
Participate in training, certification programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Experience: Prior experience in ICU, PCU, or acute care settings is preferred. New graduates with clinical training in critical care are welcome to apply.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Preferred).
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification (preferred).
Skills And Competencies
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
