Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and emotional disturbances. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients with behavioral health conditions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.
Administer medications and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to patients and families.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and coping strategies.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Adhere to all hospital, state, and federal regulations related to behavioral health nursing.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN or ADN).
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or a related field preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
