Job Description:
Our Client is seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) RN with a strong background in Orthopedic and Neurosurgery. The ideal candidate will have Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience and be comfortable working in a high-acuity surgical environment. This role requires participation in an on-call rotation, including both weekend and weekday call coverage.
Regional West maintains Low/Mid/High performer expectations, and all staff—including travelers—must meet performance standards. Failure to meet expectations may result in immediate contract termination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care in the Operating Room, specializing in Orthopedic and Neuro surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure efficient and safe procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrument setup, surgical prep, and intraoperative support.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to intraoperative emergencies with confidence and precision.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, responding promptly to emergency cases.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact).
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience, with a strong focus on Orthopedic and Neurosurgery.
- Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma experience required.
- BLS, ACLS (Required); CNOR preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet Regional West’s performance expectations.
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
