Snowflake Developer with Python Scripting-Tampa FL Hybrid
Location : Tampa, FL- 33647 (Hybrid - 03 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Database Developer you will assist in the technical design of application components, builds applications, interfaces between applications, and understands data security, retention, and recovery.
Can research technologies independently and recommend appropriate solutions.
Contributes to technology-specific best practices & standards; contributes to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability, reuse, extensibility, usability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, vendor products, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc executes on the plan by building components, testing, configuring, tuning, and deploying solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify and prioritize business use cases. Understand the business, strategy, data sets and work with collaborators to develop reusable data models, dashboards, or other data assets.
Understand the broad uses of data within the organization and build solutions that improve the efficiency of data users.
End-to-end data architectural expertise for defining and refining RDS data architecture for OLTP, data warehousing and business analytics solutions.
Technology Expertise - be a subject matter expert on one or more of programming languages, vendor products, DTCC applications, data structures, business lines. Focus on database technologies such as Oracle and Snowflake.
Programming and optimizing database objects including, Tables, Views, Stored Procs, Functions.
Programming and operationalizing PERL, Python, and Shell scripts to run various processes / jobs and program executions.
Providing subject-matter expertise (level 3) support to multiple production applications to support environments and triage any operational issues/incidents.
Supporting multiple production application releases and maintenance windows during off-peak work hours.
Platforms - works with Infrastructure partners to stand up development, testing, and production environments
Data Modeling - Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for implementation across RDS Trade Repositories.
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; advances appropriately
QUALIFICATIONS:
4 years’ experience in Database Development or System Analysis
Bachelor\'s degree in technical/computer field or related experience required
Deep expertise in data management, data architecture, metadata management, data integration, data governance, data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), data transport, data quality, and master data management
Solid understanding of agile development methodologies
Proven expertise in scripting languages such as, PERL, Python, and Shell
Solid understanding of distributed and cloud-based data technologies and analytics tools.
Specific knowledge of Oracle, Snowflake, Splunk, PowerBI, and Collibra a plus.
Experience with database specific CICD tools, such as
Up-to-date knowledge of technology and architecture marketplace
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Good communications skills, both written and verbal

Must Have:
4 years of experience in Database Development or System Analysis.
Strong expertise in Snowflake and Oracle databases.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PERL, and Shell.
Experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical).
Hands-on experience with database query optimization and stored procedures.
Solid understanding of data governance, data integration, and metadata management.
Experience with CI/CD tools for database development.
Strong knowledge of cloud-based data technologies.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Collibra for metadata management.
Familiarity with PowerBI and Splunk.
Knowledge of distributed and cloud-based analytics tools.
Experience supporting production applications and handling operational incidents.
Previous experience in the financial services industry.
Snowflake or Python certification.
