The Position: Patient Financial Services Director
Employment status: Full-Time
Hours per two-week pay period: 80 hours
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the overall direction of hospital and clinic Patient Financial Services, including but not limited to insurance and self-pay billing, reimbursement, and collection processes.
- Manages team of direct reports in the Patient Financial Services department
- Participates in revenue cycle enhancement and acts as a subject matter expert on billing for other departments
- Researches best practices for denial and account resolution
- Determines and implements departmental processes and procedures in order to reach facility goals
- 5 years’ experience in a healthcare management role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing required.
- Excellent computer and customer service skills.
- MS Excel knowledge is required.
- Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required.
- HS diploma or equivalent, BS in accounting, business, or finance preferred
- HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification
