Generator Installer (Electrical and Gas)

The largest Generac Generator Dealer in the state of Florida. Now with 8 locations in the state of FL and 200 employees, we are continuing to grow at a rapid rate.

We are looking for a Generator Installer, open to the entire generator installation process with residential electrical and troubleshooting as a primary background.

Electrical experience or gas experience is preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems is critical for generator installations. Knowledge of gas plumbing is critical for fueling the generators. Either skill is key to success. Spatial reasoning is a key part of generator installation.

This position will operate with a variety of teams and will move between different teams until a permanent team is decide.

A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to drive.

A willingness to learn basic Natural Gas and LP Installation is required. Gas installation training and delivery training will be a requirement once hired and is a part of our development. You will be required to be knowledgeable in both electric and gas once operating full time.

The average day will require the following:

• The installation of transfer switches between the existing meter and electrical panel and the installation of wiring between the generators
• Ability to perform electrical installations, and occasionally upgrades to existing electrical systems, pertaining to the generator installation process
• Run gas pipping from the generator to the fuel source and maintaining requirements for fuel pressure
• Knowledgeable of Building, Electrical, and Gas codes
• Performing startup and break in services of the generators at time of completion
• Leading other electricians/gas technicians throughout the installation process

Opportunities to grow are abundant, but based on work ethic, quality of work, attendance, and attitude. Office managers and General Managers are typically pulled from these positions.
