Job Description:
Genesco Sports Enterprises is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, self-motivated individual to become part of the GSE Team. This person will be responsible for day-to-day support and management of a top-tier client’s sports-related programming and marketing initiatives. This person will work closely with our clients, sports properties, athletes and partner agencies to activate programming across the NFL, U.S. Soccer and others, with a primary focus on U.S. Soccer and San Francisco based team sponsorships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the management and tracking of sponsorship assets and funds for assigned properties
- Lead planning of campaigns, events and activations, working with broader GSE account team, Client and supporting agency partners
- Lead the execution of Client programs, contractual assets, promotions & experiential activations of select properties and events
- Support general account management, projects, events and ad-hoc needs across all properties
- Prepare strategy, activation plans and recap presentations for meetings internally and externally
- Support ideation, approval and integration of Client’s brand partnerships into sponsored programs
- Traffic creative approvals for leagues/teams/athletes working with Client and other agency partners
- Support recommendation, negotiation and management of talent deals
- Lead fulfillment and designated responsibilities at Client’s sponsored properties during events
- Navigate property rules and regulations to ensure timely Client / property feedback, including guidance on how to leverage any property and athlete pass-through rights
- Develop informational documents outlining rules and guidelines of Client property activation
- Assist with evaluating team sponsorship proposals and renewals
- Support and train junior staff members
Qualities required for role:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 4-8 years related work experience
- Experience working with sports sponsorships required - NFL or U.S. Soccer experience preferred
- Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with strong work ethic is a must
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Power Point & Excel skills are strictly required
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Outgoing personality and friendly client/customer-service demeanor
- Ability to lift at least 25lbs
- Ability to travel up to 25% (including weekend and holiday events)
- Hybrid role with adherence to local Client / GSE in-office requirements
Compensation:
- Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000; commensurate with experience
