- Take guidance from the principal to ensure students are supported.
- Constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students; monitor student attitudes and encourage self-esteem; assist students with becoming increasingly independent.
- Oversee instructional and other activities; work with individual students of varying academic levels or small groups for the purpose of supporting classroom.
- Document and communicate disciplinary and attendance information and reminders.
- Assist students with assignments.
- Work directly with students in executing behavior interventions.
- Work closely with students who are at-risk, particularly in emotionally healthy coping skills and proactive behavior modification.
- Work directly with students in guiding positive behaviors in school.
- Perform other academic and behavior support duties as assigned.
- Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
- Utilize technology effectively and efficiently.

The Behavior Interventionist will play a crucial role in promoting the safety and welfare of students and assist in maintaining a positive school environment.
JOB SUMMARY
The Behavior Interventionist will assist teachers, administrators, support staff, with the implementation of behavior intervention plans. They will work on executing de-escalation strategies, helping students develop proactive coping tools, and work with teacher to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, flexible, and patient when dealing with stressful situations.
