What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service School Cafeteria Building Manager - 7.0 hrs/day position at Geneseo Community Unit School District #228?
Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
2. Illinois Food Service Sanitation License required.
3. Possess good judgment, trustworthiness, and flexibility.
4. Minimum five years' experience in school food preparation and distribution, managerial experience preferred.
5. Knowledge of the USDA (federal) and state child nutrition regulations and programs.
6. Good oral communication skills.
7. Demonstrates dependability, promptness, flexibility and ability to multi-task.
8. Passes the mandated IL State Police/FBI Background checks and pre-employment physical.
Additional Requirements
1. Reliable Team player who is willing to direct all aspects of food service and assist where needed (Prep-Cooking-Inventory-Ordering-Delivery-Serving-Clean-up).
2. Individual who is willing to be responsible for the proper handling and use of all equipment and inventory.
3. Organized individual who is able to follow instructions and adhere to school and department rules and policies. Is able to complete daily duties in a timely fashion.
4. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, moderate to heavy lifting (50 lbs), constantly on feet.
5. Computer literacy -knowledge of Word, Excel and Google.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work cooperatively and affectively with a variety of people.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.40 per hour
