Role Summary:
The Senior Wound Management Lead will develop and implement comprehensive skin health and wound management programs across our nursing centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective skin health and wound management programs
- Provide expert guidance on skin, wound, and incontinent products
- Oversee the use of durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval)
- Completed Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or be committed to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire
- Proven experience in clinical charting, incident reporting, and investigation response
- Strong understanding of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team
- Excellent team building and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products
- Understanding of nursing home regulations and survey process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
