What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse RAI Specialist position at Genesis Administrative Services LLC?
Key Responsibilities:
- The LPN MDS Coordinator directs the nursing center interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while following guidelines for completion, computer encoding, and electronic State transmission of the MDS.
- The role requires participation in developing individualized resident Care Plans, identifying the needs of the resident and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
- The position involves training new members of the interdisciplinary team on clinical content and electronic completion of applicable MDS items.
Requirements:
- You must be an LPN in good standing and currently licensed by the state.
- Prior experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare-related facility is required.
- You must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
- You must have computer skills, including Windows applications.
- AccuMed experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as an MDS Coordinator is preferred.
- Prior experience in completing MDSs and Care Plans is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in RAI/PPS processes is required.
- You must maintain current BLS/CPR certification (excluding ALFs/ILFs).
