Responsibilities
Are you a Registered Nurse with a passion for quality care and meticulous documentation? Join our team as a Virtual Nurse Auditor and play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical documentation in our nursing centers. This remote position offers the flexibility you need while making a real difference in patient care.
As a Virtual Nurse Auditor, you will conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will identify areas for improvement, provide constructive feedback to nursing center staff, and contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement. Your expertise in clinical documentation, risk management, and regulatory compliance will be essential to this role.
Position Highlights
- Conduct timely reviews of patient records to include care plans, incident reports, physician orders, progress notes, skin checks and wound evaluations, new skin and wound conditions and identify and note any documentation deficiencies.
- Query nurses and providers regarding missing, unclear, or conflicting documentation.
- Educate healthcare providers on the whereabouts of electronic medical information, clinical documentation improvement and best practices.
- Collaborate with nursing staff regarding documentation prior to patient discharge.
- Analyze statistical data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present clinical documentation monitoring reports.
