Responsibilities:
The RN Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing with the delivery of efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family and employee satisfaction.
- Leads, guides, and directs the clinical operations of the nursing units on assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, practice standards, and regulations.
- Facilitates the implementation of the care delivery model and processes, mentoring staff and coordinating communication with other departments.
- Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff, providing safe 24/7 nursing care while minimizing overtime and agency personnel use.
- Participates in staff recruitment, new hire orientation, and makes recommendations for employee promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university; BSN preferred.
Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
