Responsibilities:
- Infection Prevention - Control Activities: Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) to ensure the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control, and prevention of infections and communicable diseases within the nursing center.
- Outcome - Process Surveillance: Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs identified through Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI), rounding, center quality measures, or other means.
- Outbreak Management: Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees.
- Employee Health: Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain policies and procedures related to employee health, including vaccination requirements and exposure reporting.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
