Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with nursing center management to develop and integrate a comprehensive Skin Health and Wound management program.
- Provide clinical expertise for skin, wound, and incontinent products to central supply.
- Oversee durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A RN license (MPT/DPT with leadership review/approval)
- Completion of Skin Health Team Lead orientation training and Wound Basics within 90 days of hire
- Commitment to attend monthly support calls
- National accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or be committed to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire
- Experience with clinical charting, incident reporting, and investigation response
- Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team
- Proven team building and respect for interprofessional collaboration in wound management
- Knowledge of national wound guidelines and wound products
- Understanding of nursing home regulations and survey process
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
