Roles and Responsibilities:
Operations
(Target Utilization – 90%)
The Architectural Designer works under the direction of an assigned mentor(s) to develop and implement project approach, methodology, and deliverables.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing project documents for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
- Assisting in the development of conceptual designs and preparing preliminary design sketches.
- Coordinating with the team – including other project disciplines and external team members - under the direction of the architectural project lead on all efforts.
- Learning and implementing best practices and procedures for an integrated design approach to create design solutions.
- Participating in the review outcome of completed design projects with the intent to learn about opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, and outcome.
- Attending department meetings to learn about the multiple facets of our work from associated Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and understand their roles within the department.
- Reviewing shop drawing submittals with guidance from the Project Architect.
- Attending field site inspections and assisting in developing associated follow-up documentation (e.g. field reports, punchlists).
- Participating in the research and development of methods and processes that utilize advanced software to help inform and optimize architectural work processes.
- Working on multiple projects concurrently.
Client-Facing
- Opportunity to attend client meetings with the assigned project lead to learn about client relationships.
- Learn an awareness of how the work done in the office impacts our client-facing staff.
- Grow client base through the delivery of excellent services.
- Serve as the architectural designer on select projects, maintaining relationships internally and externally to ensure project success.
Strategic
- Learn the company’s vision and mission and embody it in your work.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Arch, BArch or MArch
- 0-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of Revit software a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office suite software
- A team approach and positive attitude
We are located in Blue Bell, Montgomery County convenient to Rts. 276/476. This role may also be based in our Philadelphia office is located in The Curtis Building.
