As a Senior Designer, you are passionate about creative problem-solving and innovation. Responsibilities of the Role:
- Develop innovative and efficient design solutions and execute all phases of a project to meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Generate 2D and 3D images that communicate design direction, material selection, and color palettes for the interior and exterior.
- Participate in research, selection, and specification of interior finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams in design, documentation, and construction administration.
- Collaborate on interior design projects that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation and installation.
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, color palettes, and lighting.
- Generate finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
- Prepare client presentations and interior finish boards.
- Provide design support and documentation during the completion and execution of design concepts.
- Work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
- Engage in marketing and business development efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
- Ability to work independently & proactively with teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adept at prioritizing tasks, managing time efficiently, and maintaining well-organized project files and documentation.
- Ability to manage workflow & tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications.
- Graphic design and sketching/visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Express conceptual ideas quickly through hand sketching and basic 3D modeling programs.
- Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign).
- Proficiency in Enscape and/or SketchUp is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of building codes, especially related to accessibility, universal design, sustainability concepts, and materials are strongly preferred.
- Pursuing NCIDQ credentials is preferred.
