Manufacturing Maintenance Mgr. / Plant Engineer

Overview

The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and engineering activities within the manufacturing plant. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of the plant's equipment and facilities, as well as implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Managing the plant's engineering projects and coordinating with external contractors
• Overseeing the maintenance of production equipment and ensuring minimal downtime
• Conducting regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them proactively
• Leading and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians and engineers
• Collaborating with other departments to support production goals and resolve maintenance-related issues
• Participating in budget planning and cost control efforts for maintenance activities
• Implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement in manufacturing operations
• Managing inventory and procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or plant engineering role
• Demonstrated expertise in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance
• Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process optimization
• Experience with project management and working with cross-functional teams
