Job Description
Job Title: Car Wash attendant
Reports To: General Manager/Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for cleaning vehicles, regular vehicle maintenance (non-mechanical services), and drives vehicles all in a safe and timely manner. Follows Genesis Business Management LLC policy and state guidelines in regards to operations of vehicles, customer service, and safety.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush, or by automatic washing equipment.
2. Polish, dry, and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats, and exterior body by hand, using the appropriate chemicals / cleaning agents required.
3. Inspect vehicles for body damage and follow report procedures
4. Determine need for maintenance (add windshield fluid, gasoline).
5. Verify appropriate stickers are attached to vehicle (registration, plates).
6. Complete the out of service tag and ensure the vehicle is moved to maintenance area.
7. Drives various size vehicles locally or out of area as needed, following all rules of the road.
8. Perform duties in safe manner following Genesis Business Management LLC safety guidelines.
9. Place items left behind in vehicles in lost and found.
10. Maintain Genesis Business Management LLC standards for appearance and safety by following dress code, PPE, and uniform policy.
11. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
12. Provide excellent customer service, good team work, and professional demeanor.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of America money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
Prior driving experience helpful.
Certifications/Licenses:
Valid Driver’s License - must meet insurance underwriting requirements
