Director of Next Gen Ministries
Position: Full Time
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Supervises: Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Student Ministry Coordinator, and Wise Kids Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Director of Next Gen Ministries oversees the spiritual development of children (birth-12th grade) at Genesis Church. This person will plan curriculum, coordinate programming, and ensure a safe environment so that each child can grow spiritually. A special emphasis will be on coordinating ministry for infants-6thgraders while overseeing a Student Ministry Coordinator as well as the Wise Kids Coordinator.
Essential Duties:
· Provide oversight of the whole Next Gen Ministry (Children, Students, & Wise Kids), ensuring an inclusive and well-coordinated program
· Develop & maintain all policies, procedures, and systems for Next Gen Ministries
· Ensure the recruitment, training, and shepherding volunteers working with Next Gen Ministries
· Coordinate and evaluate curriculum for infants-6th graders for both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights
· Approve curriculum for Student ministries (7th-12th grades)
· Ensure that Child Safety Policies are enforced throughout Next Gen Ministries
· Ensure the proper follow-up of new children and families, seeking to engage them in the life of the church.
· Suggest and implement annual special events for Children (i.e. VBS, Back to School, Christmas, Next Gen Sundays)
· Approve, oversee, and evaluate special events for Student Ministries
· Assess the needs of children and students and incorporate those needs into the planning of activities
· Keep up with trends by researching other model churches while ensuring Genesis Church’s vision is maintained by reading available literature and regularly attending to continuing education needs
· Develop community among children and families
· Pray regularly for children and their families at Genesis.
· Develop and manage budget for Next Gen Ministries
· Plan and lead weekly Next Gen meetings
· Attend weekly staff meetings

Qualifications:
· Once hired, the Director of Next Gen Ministries must be a member and active participant of Genesis Church of Fayetteville.
- A bachelor’s degree or work experience is required. A degree and/or training in early childhood education, elementary education, Christian education or related field is highly desirable.
· Experience working with children’s and/or student’s ministry in either a lay or paid staff capacity is necessary.
· Experience managing/supervising others is highly desirable.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
