Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee technology projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management methodologies, particularly in Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. You will be responsible for ensuring that project goals are met on time and within scope while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with IT governance. This role requires excellent leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, including offshore teams whic will the majority of the time. Need to have extensive experience working in a microsoft .net environment. Need to reside in the Columbus, Ohio area for consideration as this would require presence in the office couple days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of technical projects from inception to completion.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Create and manage test cases to ensure product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Utilize project management tools such as Jira to track progress and facilitate communication among team members.
- Implement Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) to enhance team productivity and collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Monitor project performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage and lead offshore teams
Experience
- Proven experience in managing technical projects within an IT environment.
- Proven experience leading offshore teams
- Proven experience with delivering microsoft projects as a technical PM
- Strong understanding of requirements gathering processes and documentation.
- Familiarity with SDLC principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using Jira or similar project management software.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and governance frameworks is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
