Position Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Green River, WY
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates Safety leadership and understanding of safety regulations • Working knowledge of NFPA 70e electrical regulations.• Support of daily electrical maintenance activities and problem solving.• Maintain plant technical data, drawings, and documentation.• Review and maintain equipment spare parts inventory and stocking strategies • Provide recommendations and identify best practices to optimize the predictive/preventive maintenance program. • Identify, support, and execute plant improvement projects• Perform root cause failure analysis for unplanned equipment failures and generate action items to prevent reoccurrence • Originate, perform, and support Management of Change (MOC) requests. • Provide electrical engineering support for capital project implementations and modifications to facilities. • Maintain and advise on process control systems, PLC’s, IT systems, and instrumentation.
Activities:
• MSHA/OSHA rules and regulations and applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Participation in safety program(s). • Provide on-demand electrical engineering support to the business units.• Make equipment recommendations to improve machine performance based on failure data, bad actor reviews, operator/maintainer feedback, and OEM guidance.• Maintaining plant equipment specifications, including specifications database, drawing updates, and maintenance manuals. • Standardize and optimize spare parts inventory, stock management and coordination of the ordering of spares in conjunction with the Maintenance Planners and warehouse personnel. • Support the capital engineering group in project reviews, and Venture Manager projects as needed for installations and major equipment overhauls. • Perform failure analysis and data collection of equipment failures. • Provide engineering support for plant improvement projects• Interface with outside vendors to improve process and equipment reliability.• Provide monthly KPI and key project updates• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) field reviews and generate recommendations• Attend or conduct training as needed • Support ISO 9000 efforts.• Cover weekend duty and off-shift responsibilities as requested
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar Electrical Discipline• 3 years maintenance or plant engineering experience strongly preferred. Industrial background, electrical troubleshooting and reliability experience preferred. • Instrumentation, controls and Power distribution experience preferred.
