Opening Shifts:
M & F 9am-9pm Every Other Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm
T & W 9am-9pm Every Other Saturday & Sunday 9am-9pm
Awake Overnight, 7 days on 7 days off, Wed to Wed 9pm-9am

What are the responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional?
- Helps to establish and keep community relationships and friendships.
- Assists individuals with daily routines including, but not limited to, household tasks, cooking and eating, individual self-care, socializing, use of leisure time, health and safety, money management and behavior management.
- Administers medications.
- Provides transportation.
- Documents services and events through an online computer program.
Who are we looking for?
The East Bethel home is a residential home serving two males. Staff that are successful at this site are empathetic, have good boundaries, actively engage with the individuals to build rapport, show perseverance, have sense of humor, and have strong redirecting skills. One individual has a large stature, is non-verbal, and can’t express himself; staff need to be comfortable with his size and needs. Individuals at this site enjoy reading, looking at magazines, Legos, small toys, van rides, and light rail trips.
Applicants must:
- be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma preferred and one year of experience delivering services to individuals with disabilities.
- possess a valid driver’s license, have access to an insured vehicle, have a clean driving record, and need to pass a DHS background study.
- possess basic computer skills to be successful in this position
