Job Description
As a Respiratory Therapist at Powerback, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of older adults and children. With over 38 years of trusted service, we deliver personalized care exactly where and when it's needed most.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory care procedures under general supervision and medical direction.
- Exercise considerable judgment in accordance with physician's treatment plan and within the scope of departmental policies and procedures.
- Assess resident's condition, administer prescribed therapy and aerosolized medications, observe and record resident's progress and response to therapy modalities.
- Provide in-service training to residents, family members, and facility staff.
- Maintain life support systems for residents in skilled nursing facilities.
Requirements:
- High level of knowledge of respiratory therapy and practice required through completion of a NBRC approved and accredited program.
- One year of clinical practice experience under medical direction.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and current State Licensure for a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
