Overview of Position:
Assists anesthesia staff in setting up, cleaning and processing of items and equipment, stocking of supplies including drugs and inventory to provide the anesthesia staff with the necessary supplies and equipment to maintain the daily anesthesia schedule of surgical procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Sets up operating room and anesthesia machine prior to start of cases.
2. Maintains drug stock levels, inventory, and supplies required for surgery and anesthesia.
3. Demonstrates correct and proper use of equipment including gas machine, bair hugger, Doppler, steris, med fusion pump, bard infuser, rapid infusor, pvxis, laryngoscope flexible/rigid, difficult airway cart, and biz monitor.
4. Demonstrates correct set-up for procedures for A-Line, Central Line, Spinal/Epidural with or without PCA, Awake Intubation, and One Lung Anesthetic.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. CPR certification, or obtain within 30 days of employment
3. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
4. Demonstrate interest and ability to learn required psychomotor skills.
5. Interpersonal skills including: listening, talking, patience, judgment, initiative, and ability to relate with others.
