Position Overview:
The Part-Time Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Genesis Learning Academy, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and experience in program administration. This role involves collaborating with staff, families, and the community to create a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the academy, ensuring that all programs run smoothly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and educational requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to teaching staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and educational programs that align with best practices in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with families to create a welcoming and supportive community, addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Manage staff schedules, training, and professional development to enhance team effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring the financial sustainability of the program.
- Promote the academy within the community, building partnerships and fostering positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Educational Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership or administrative role.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.
- Knowledge of state licensing regulations and requirements for childcare centers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in program management and administration within a childcare or educational setting.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management in an educational context.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
