Position Overview:
We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Part-Time Floater Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, love working with young children, and be able to support various classrooms as needed. This role is essential in providing coverage across different age groups and ensuring continuity of care and education for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to classroom teachers by assisting with daily activities, supervision, and instruction.
- Float between different classrooms as needed, adapting to the specific needs of each age group.
- Engage with children in a positive and nurturing manner, promoting a sense of safety and belonging.
- Assist with lesson implementation, classroom management, and facilitating activities.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring that materials are available and accessible.
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff to foster a collaborative community.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and staff regarding student needs and classroom dynamics.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with children and adults.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different environments and maintain a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and regulations for childcare centers.
