Educational Assistant - Special Education

Genesis Learning Centers is a private, non-profit agency that specializes in providing therapeutic schools and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing intense emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning challenges. We are currently seeking Educational Assistants at our Rutherford Academy location in Murfreesboro. Each of our students receives services designed to meet their specific needs on every level of care in a small, child-centered environment. Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are carefully developed and reviewed regularly with our students and their families as we want every student to have a positive, supportive, and adaptive learning experience. As an Education Assistant, you will be assigned to one student and will work closely with them throughout the day to assist them with their academics and daily goals. You will also work closely with classroom teachers and other assistants. The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. • Must have experience working with children; preferably in a classroom setting.
• Special needs experience is a plus
• Must have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the children we serve and believe that all students deserve a high-quality education.
• Must be able to pass a fingerprint/background check and drug screen.
