We are looking to hire a Temporary to Hire Inventory Clerk with a pay rate of $18-20 per hour. This position is based 100% on-site in the Greater Bridgeton, New Jersey area and offers an excellent opportunity to grow and build a career with a well-established company.
Job Description:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain inventory accuracy by issuing manufacturing orders, reconciling finished goods production, and managing inventory transfers and warehouse transactions.
- Verify available inventory and create manufacturing orders in the inventory system for daily production.
- Reconcile daily production reports with inventory system transactions, identifying, researching, and correcting discrepancies.
- Reconcile inter-department inventory transfers and daily warehouse transactions, resolving any differences.
- Material Handling:
- Perform receipt transactions of incoming raw materials into the inventory system.
- Assist in system adjustments related to weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation, investigating differences across multiple warehouse locations onsite.
- Support and Backup:
- Act as a backup to the Inventory Control Lead in their absence, handling responsibilities such as receiving, research, tracking, filing, and daily communication via email/phone.
- Reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis.
- Assist with answering phones as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma required.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in an office administration setting.
- Manufacturing warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using MS Excel and Word; AS400 system experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
