Mammography Coordinator
Genesis OB/GYN, is seeking an experienced Mammography Coordinator to perform general administrative duties in day-to-day operations of our mammography care center. Must have knowledge and understanding of mammography reporting and general medical terminology.
Must be able to work independently with a demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and strong problem-solving skills. Ensures a high level of coordination between patients and stakeholders of the department.

Essential Job Functions:
- Daily scheduling management for department. Ensures all patients are scheduled appropriately to include obtaining appropriate orders, meet minimum scheduling criteria and rescheduling as needed.
- Reviews all mammography reports. Manages distribution and tracks all patient lay letters or Bi-Rad-0 notifications.
- Obtain external medical records for patients prior to date of service and appropriate exchange of information.
- Provide information and instructions to patients as needed. Assist patients with registration to company’s electronic medical record (EMR). Respond to questions and requests for medical records.
- Interact with Radiologist and Technologist regarding Mammography patients and reports to Mammography Operations and Quality Assurance team.
- Maintain a professional environment at all times.
- Obtain release for prior records and follow-up as needed.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 – 4 years of medical office or clerical experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organization skills.
- Understanding and adherence to HIPPA / confidentiality policies.
- Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to multi-task.
- Competency in the operation of the Care Centers computer system, EHR, and PACS system.
- Must display a high level of professionalism to effectively support department operations team and patients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with physicians, staff, and patients.
- General knowledge of medical terminology and mammography is required.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
