Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver with a positive attitude who has an understanding of auto mechanics and an unwavering commitment to providing high-quality service. We are currently offering a $5000 sign on bonus, paid quarterly through the first year of employment (contingent on the technician maintaining completion of all online training and meeting performance standards). We also offer a technician performance bonus based on efficiency. We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional and efficient service department, and we are looking to add to our growing team.  

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Testing: Use manufacturer specific tools and equipment to diagnose vehicle accurately. Interpret diagnostic results to identify issues and make repairs.
• Maintenance Services: Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and scheduled servicing to manufacturer specifications.
• Repair Work: Execute complex repair jobs, including but not limited to engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, brake systems, steering mechanisms, and electronic systems.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with Advisors to explain vehicle problems, potential solutions, and the work performed. Offer recommendations for maintaining vehicle performance and longevity.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets company standards and customer satisfaction. Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify success of maintenance or repair work.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with all online courses with Hyundai and Genesis. Attend Classes as needed off site.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as an Automotive Technician. Familiarity with all types of cars and sport utility vehicles.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of automotive technology and electrical systems.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on complex issues with minimal supervision.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
