Role Overview :
Reporting to Central Division leader for the AVP, National Accounts Casualty Underwriting this person will be responsible for managing a team of underwriters and a diverse portfolio of Retail Casualty accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting casualty for Fortune 1000 clients with $750 million in revenue or more, across various industry segments. This role offers the opportunity for growth and leadership within the organization, as the individual will be the primary point of contact for the Midwest Region National Accounts Casualty business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Underwrite and manage a diverse portfolio of retail excess casualty accounts, primarily focusing on National Accounts with Fortune 1000 clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers, including alphas and large super regionals as well.
- Drive new business development efforts within the Midwest Region.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are achieved, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Act as a subject matter expert for excess casualty underwriting, providing guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
