Job Summary :
The Senior Financial Analyst will assist in managing credit risk within our clients loan portfolio. This role involves working closely with the VP of Insurance Company Management to support analysis, monitoring, and reporting tasks. The individual must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, providing professional and high-level service through effective communication with all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor and review financial results of insurance companies quarterly and / or annually. Prepare detailed financial analyses to establish internal ratings and financing capacity.
- Develop and recommend underwriting guidelines, including financing capacity and monitoring status, following company policies and procedures.
- Maintain electronic records of correspondences, analyses, financial information, and the company database.
- Stay informed on significant developments from rating organizations, press releases, and other sources, and consult with VP on their impact.
- Keep current with GAAP, IFRS, NAIC accounting practices, and insurance regulations through continuous education and literature review.
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and analyzing reports related to financing volumes, trends, and other relevant metrics.
- Monitor daily / weekly / monthly reports for data quality, fraud indicators, and alignment with risk tolerance.
- Prepare and communicate information related to companies in receivership or liquidation.
- Handle special projects assigned by the VP, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
