Sod Harvestor

Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Sod Harvest Crew Member to

join our team for the season. This position involves physically demanding tasks

in a fast-paced environment, and we need individuals who are reliable, have

experience with farm equipment, and are comfortable working in various weather

conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with sod harvesting using specialized equipment (tractors, skid steers, forklifts, etc.)
• Lift and carry sod rolls and equipment (minimum of 50 pounds)
• Operate and maintain farm equipment safely and efficiently
• Work in all weather conditions and temperatures
• Perform other farm-related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Must be in good physical health and able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of farm equipment (tractors, skid steers, forklifts)
• Ability to work in diverse weather conditions (rain, heat, cold)
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Previous farming or landscaping experience is a plus but not required

Compensation:

• $15–$20 per hour, depending on experience

With the ongoing expansion, we anticipate that by the end of 2022, Genesis Farms will be managing over 1,000 acres of fescue and bluegrass turf.
