Responsibilities
- Genesis is seeking a Sub administrator for a contract-to-direct opportunity in Pascagoula, MS.
A Subcontract Administrator performs functions encompassing the full range of the subcontract acquisition/management process
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE (YEARS) *
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college-level course study in Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of experience.
(5) years of related experience is desired. * Subcontracts administration training which results in the required knowledge, skills and abilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS * Issue and negotiate subcontract agreements.
Prepare requests for quotes, evaluate price proposals/quotes, and participate in price negotiations, both pre-award & post-contract award.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts, work orders, and modifications/change orders.
Review subcontractor invoices for compliance with requirements.
Assist Project project manager and project subcontract coordinator in monitoring subcontract schedule performance and deliverables.
- Communicate with managers regarding subcontract negotiations, preparation, and oversight.
Perform special projects as assigned by the Purchasing manager.
Works with the Contracts Administrator, Project Management, Engineering, Planning and Estimating in the development & administration of subcontracts. * Works under the general supervision of the division Purchasing Manager or Estimating Manager.Works overtime as required. * Reports to work daily and on time.
