Job Title: Stevedoring Account Representative
Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Full-Time | Early Mornings | Weekends | On-Call
Reports To: Vice President
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Stevedoring Account Representative to support daily labor operations at the port. This individual will be the main point of contact for check-ins, staffing, and client coordination. The role involves early morning port visits, mid-day worker transport, recruiting General Laborers with TWIC cards, coordinating with internal staff members and maintain solid client relationships. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct early morning check-ins to ensure assigned laborers are present, on time, and job-ready.
- Schedule and coordinate shifts for stevedore employees
- Recruit, screen, and onboard General Laborers with valid TWIC cards
- Respond quickly to fill last-minute openings due to no-shows or cancellations.
- Maintain up-to-date shift rosters and ensure proper coverage for all operations
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for labor updates, scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with team leads, supervisors, and port personnel.
- Assist in tracking cargo movements and supporting logistical planning
- Maintain records of employee hours, attendance, and availability
- On-Call: Be available after hours and on weekends for urgent labor needs and schedule changes.
- Documenting all information in company ATS system
Qualifications:
- Experience in staffing, logistics, port operations, or a related field preferred.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and be on-call after hours
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Self-starter with a dependable work ethic and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Availability for early mornings, on-call needs, and frequent weekends.
- Familiarity with TWIC requirements and port access procedures is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Combination of fieldwork at the port and administrative tasks in the office.
- Requires driving, outdoor activity, and time-sensitive labor coordination.
- Fast-paced environment with a high emphasis on flexibility, professionalism, and responsiveness.
- This position involves working in and around port and dock areas. Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and around heavy equipment.
