This position is responsible for case managing an assigned caseload of adult- ex-offenders. Develop individual service plans for successful reentry. Experience working with ex-offenders and must be willing to work with the prison population. Develop strategies for community education and awareness of Offender Reentry. Works closely with Alameda County Probation, the Department of Corrections Facilities and local service providers to plan for reintegration from incarceration. Works closely with the Evaluator in data collection, report writing, and follow-up. Knowledge of state, county, and local criminal justice systems and government.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work (BSS), Psychology, Counseling, Criminology, or another related field. Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) a plus.
- Two to three years of case management experience preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft software applications, and familiarity with the internet and email communications.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment without restrictions, which affect job performance.
- Extensive experience may substitute for education qualifications.
